which GPS tree survey hardware??
« on: November 12, 2007, 09:15:19 PM »

Hi there i was hoping to buy a computer gps, to help me map and report on over 3000 trees. Does anyone recomend a good one that is reasonably priced? I realise that tthese sorts of equipment are expensive so I am willing to pay!!

I already have a previous database of these trees but it is confused and hard to adjust, so you can see this is a problem that needs solving!

Any help would be great as I have no idea where to start.     Len

Len,

There are many GPS tree management programmes out there, most of them will sit on your PC, the data collected in the field can be collected on a tablet pc or a PDA, I work for a company called Robin Forestry Surveys, we own a tree management system called 'Tree Wise' it is currently being used by many LA's, if you would like discuss this further just contact me.
