This is going off the track a bit (don't know about tech cert) but I did Myerscoughs FdSc online and it was worth every penny, have to say though doing practical arb as a day job then studying at night was/is very hard. Get some matchsticks!

thanks Joe, I am currently awaiting my approval for the same course you mentioned! will it be nigh or yeah! for anyone considering this one its a mighty, a whopping even £1400.00 a year, and on top of that theres the books, i think Ive done two grand in books so far! has been a worthwhile enteprise though. I was intimidated by the whole academic route at first, but having discovered I knew so little before (was a shocker i can tell thee!) I have discovered a new passion and have to say studying the science after doing the art for so long is rewsrding and stimulating in the extreme.
if you can get on one of the arb courses do it, youll never look back and if you enjoy it half as much as I am right now it will be worth all the mega hardships you have to go through to do it.
